Maggie Gunn from Kast Fabrics spoke to the group about trends in fabric, the different applications and how Kast Fabric’s is a “go to” fabric wholesaler.

Alison Wilson from Arizona Tile spoke to us about her company’s availability of the most unique materials and service to designers.

We participated in San Jacinto College’s events:  Raven Rally, where we won first place in the decorated booth contest and the Marine’s Toys for Tots toy drive.

We decorated and sold holiday wreaths for a successful fundraiser.

We decorated a Christmas tree for Interfaith Caring Ministries Tree Festival. A local business sponsored it for $1000.00 and all proceeds went to the charity. We won third place in the designer tree category among other local designers in the Clearlake area.

In December, we decorated the San Jacinto College North Ballroom for the administration’s Christmas Party.

We had our annual Christmas party at the Intercontinental Hotel in December.

In January, we attended the Dallas Market Center to see how a wholesale market operates.

In the spring semester we will award scholarships to our own A.S.I.D. design students and develop our portfolios for the A.S.I.D. Career Day. We will continue to have interesting speakers and participate fully with A.S.I.D. T.G.C.C.
