Professional Experience:

Sunrise Colony Company-Royal Oaks Houston, TX January 2000 - November 2000 Designer Managed exterior and interior floor-to-ceiling selections for new homes ranging in price from $350,000 to $1,000,000. Designed custom tile flooring inlays and costume tile kitchen backsplashes in CAD and by hand. Achieved designs that reflect the functional needs and preferences of each client. Worked effectively with construction managers on customizing plans. Built and maintained strong, trusting relationships with clients, construction managers, and vendors. Coordinated estimates, purchasing, space planning, budget control, and vendor contracts. Ensured the swift resolution of unforeseen and anticipated problems.

Fingers Furniture, Houston, TX July 1999 - January 2000 Display Coordinator Planed and erected displays to entice and appeal to customers. Placed prices and descriptive signs on fixtures, merchandise, and accessories. Changed or rotated window displays, and signage to reflect changes in inventory or promotion. Obtained plans from furniture buyers and managers on display ideas Developed ideas for merchandizing displays and window displays. Collaborated with others to obtain products and other display items.

The Home Depot, Webster, TX January 1998 - July 1999 Designer/Sales Associate - Design Department Duties included the taking of custom orders for wallpaper and window treatments. Changed or rotated displays, and signage to reflect changes in inventory or promotion. Helped customers in the selection of tile, carpet, countertops, kitchen cabinets, paint, wallpaper, and window treatments. Collaborated with store managers to obtain products and other display items.
