ASID Community Service Project/Spring Designer Showhouse at the Samuel May Williams House-Industry Partner Participation welcomed! Please Consider getting involved. The Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Community Service Project will be to present the 2nd oldest home in Galveston TX the Samuel May Williams House as their Spring Designer Showhouse. The historical significance of this home to Texas History is long and illustrious. This rare combination of Creole-plantation and New England architectural styles was built in 1838 for Samuel May Williams, secretary to Stephen F. Austin and founder of the Texas Navy and the City of Galveston co-founder.
