Hello Fellow ASID/IP Members!

Ray Levy and I are constantly being asked 'How can I get involved with ASID?' and we have an event coming up that is a perfect opportunity to do just that!  June 10th from 6-8pm is our IP/Designer Social Mixer and there are a number of ways to be involved.  For the low price of $50 you will gain entry to the evening festivities and receive a cool name tag that will allow you to stand out among the Designers.  If you are or aren't able to attend there are still a couple of items that will need underwriters.  We will have the sponsors names on a poster and listed in the Angle the following issue.  Areas that need underwriters are valet services, bar, possibly a jazz band, and three prizes that will be drawn during the event.

    In addition we will be having a matching game during the evening that I would like everyone to participate in.  I'll need a description about yourself.  For example, my description might say "I used to run ProSource Flooring and now I sell fabric and furniture for Kravet and Lee Jofa. I have two adorable little boys named Wriley and Walker." The Designers would need to ask around until they found me and then have their card signed.  IP members will stand out with flashing name-tags. Then that card will be put in the drawing for one of the three prizes.  The goal is obviously to promote interaction between the IP members and the Designers and it should be a lot of fun!

We are expecting a great turn-out for this event since is the first time that we can recall in a while that the Programs Committee has been so gracious to give us our own Program!  This will be the June ASID program and they only have 6 a year.  This so a big effort on behalf of our current board and chapter to encourage support for IP.  So please thank Sandy Sawyer and Syd Farber for allowing us to throw this event.  And get involved if you want to cultivate a relationship with the ASID Designer that will definitely be mutually fruitful for the both of you.
